Nice little touches

  • A big park with green spaces, a gazebo to enjoy your meals in the sun, and an infinity pool.

Set among the rolling hills of Val d'Orcia, this delightful villa is situated in the heart of the famous UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its landscapes, views and historic hilltop villages filled with medieval art and architecture. The breathtaking landscape surrounding the villa is rich with historical traces of human activity dating back thousands of years.

Originally built in the latter half of the eighteenth century as a hunting lodge and a venue for celebrations and banquets, Villa Bianca accommodates up to 26 guests across 13 bedrooms. The ground floor features three spacious living rooms—two with traditional pietra serena stone fireplaces and one with a piano—creating inviting spaces for gathering or quiet relaxation. The fully equipped kitchen is designed for group dining, while a billiard room provides entertainment. A grand circular garden at the entrance to the villa adds a ceremonial touch to arrivals and makes it an ideal location for events and weddings. The villa is nestled within a park filled with holm oaks and cypress trees, offering a spectacular panoramic view along the ancient pilgrimage route of the Francigena.

Outside, a pool overlooks the valley, complemented by a hot tub for unwinding after days of exploration. The grounds include terraced solariums, a barbecue gazebo, and working olive groves that stretch across the estate. For active guests, there's table tennis, volleyball, e-bikes for countryside rides, and a dedicated yoga room. A small gym rounds out the wellness facilities.

The villa blends historic character with modern comfort, with WiFi throughout the well-appointed living spaces that honor the building's heritage while serving today's needs.

Villa Bianca offers easy access to hilltop towns, renowned wineries, and thermal springs. The setting is genuinely spectacular: spring brings wildflowers and green hills, summer offers warm evenings and lime blossom fragrance, while autumn and winter reveal the landscape's quieter beauty. The estate's position provides exceptional stargazing opportunities, far from light pollution.

Around Villa Bianca

Villa Bianca is in the southern reaches of the province of Siena, on the edge of the border with both Umbria and Lazio, putting it in the perfect position to explore this region rich with historic cities, beautiful landscapes and hill-top villages. The closest village is Radicofani, a remarkable fortified village once said to be home to a brigand who would rob the pilgrims passing on their way to Rome, while just a short drive away you'll find San Casciano dei Bagni, a thermal town where a remarkable cache of Roman and Etruscan bronze statues have recently been discovered.

To the west you'll find the famous Val d'Orcia with cities like Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino within easy reach. North you'll find the medieval delights of Siena, the wineries' paradise that are the Chianti hills and, a little further, the renaissance masterpiece of Florence.

Head East and you'll find the famous cities of Cortona and Arezzo, as well as Lake Trasimeno and Perugia.

Going south will take you into the tufa-lands north of Rome, with amazing cities like Orvieto to explore, as well as striking villages perched on precarious tufa outcrops, like Pitigliano and Civita BagnoRegio.
