High above Montelupo Fiorentino, Cottage Poggio is a charming two-bedroom villa with a spacious kitchen-diner, a cool mezzanine sitting room, and an inviting terrace. Its infinity pool shimmers at the hillside’s edge, as though spilling into the valley below.
Relax by the pool among the olive trees or explore beyond: Florence, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, and Vinci are all within easy reach. Whether you’re sipping wine at sunset or floating in your pool, Poggio Cottage is a place where time slows, views inspire, and Tuscany feels entirely your own.
Colle di Sotto is an estate with two buildings: a villa (Villa Luminosa) and a cottage (Cottage Poggio). It's a perfect Tuscan retreat for up to 17 guests, combining space for shared moments with the privacy of separate homes.
Poggio Cottage is listed under the following categories:
The cottage has a ground floor kitchen-diner, with stairs leading up to the mezzanine lounge. Double doors open onto the terrace for outdoor dining and relaxation.
There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor, both with iron-framed beds and air-conditioning. One includes a wardrobe, and the other has a chair and double doors to the exterior. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, and WC.
The mezzanine lounge on the first floor features a sofa, double sofa bed, side table, chest of drawers, and a fireplace, with stairs connecting down to the kitchen-diner.
Poggio Cottage sits in the rolling hills near Montelupo Fiorentino, perfectly placed for exploring northern Tuscany. The town is known for its ceramics, and the Museo della Ceramica gives a lovely introduction to this local tradition. A short drive away is Vinci, where you can visit the Museo Leonardiano and see the landscapes that inspired Leonardo da Vinci.
Florence is within easy reach for a day of art, shopping and lively cafés, while Pisa, with its famous Leaning Tower, makes a perfect half-day trip. For something more rural, Volterra and San Gimignano offer timeless Tuscan views, medieval streets and great places for lunch. To the north, Pistoia and Montecatini Terme are both worth visiting — Pistoia for its pretty squares and local feel, and Montecatini for its warm spa waters and relaxed pace.
From this great location you can enjoy the best of Tuscany — charming towns, open countryside, and all the pleasures of good food, wine and sunshine.
